Sheffield HIV Support Group

SHIELD is a registered charity (no. 700581) providing support for people living with HIV.  We offer a Buddying service, Direct Help and the Quilt Project; in Sheffield, UK.

Buddying is a one-to-one support service for people affected by or infected with HIV.

The Direct Helpers provide a hands-on service for people who are HIV+.  This can include things like helping people with their gardening, decorating, transport, etc.

The Quilt Project is a memorial to people who have died of HIV-related illnesses.

We are always looking for people who are willing to get involved in any of the above projects, but also people who would like to help out with fundraising, administration work, the newsletter and general awareness raising.
